Thai chili pepper seeds. Each packet contains 30 precious seeds.
Soak seeds overnight in warm water and then plant 1 seed per cell (spot) 1/4” deep in soil, water gently and keep hydrated until germination. The soaking helps kickstart germination. Can take 7-20 days to sprout from the seed. BE PATIENT. and then it takes about 100 days to be able to harvest a pepper.
Peppers grow 3"-4" long. VERY spicy and flavorful, about 15 times spicier than a jalapeno.
Super easy to grow, 1 seed has the potential to grow into a large bushy plant 3'-4' tall and 2' wide. Flowers are small and white and turn into a chili pepper. Water plant deeply every 2-3 days. Don't drown the roots.
Don't soak/plant all seeds at the same time unless you plan on doing something with all of the potential plant babies. I have 3 plants and am constantly giving away peppers through the year cus the abundance is wild.
1 plant is very prolific and can give you hundreds of peppers through out the season. Harvest early while peppers are green or let ripen on the vine until pepper is red for a fruitier flavor. Can also be harvested red and left to dry for a dry chili flake powder you can use year round.
Once mature and at the end of the growing season, you can overwinter your chili pepper plant until the next spring. Depending on your growing zone you can leave outside or bring inside during winter to keep safe.
These hot peppers are good to use fresh or cooked into food. I make salsa, sauces, chimichurri, and many Thai or Laotian dishes. My husband likes to take bites out of the peppers as he eats his meals.
