This is the LARGE variety of marigold, not small. Marigolds you see used for Dia de Muertos holidays are this variety.
Depending on your growing zone, grow indoors or outdoors as Spring approaches for Spring flowers. In warm zones, you can plant all the way up until July 1 and still have flowers in November.
The annual plant needs full sun and can grow 3'-4' tall and flowers up to 4" wide. Plant in its own pot or in the ground with enough space. Try to avoid in a small garden bed cus it'll take up lots of space.
plant 1 seed per cell (spot) 1/8” deep, barely cover with soil. Water gently and keep hydrated until germination. Can take 7-14 days to sprout from the seed. And then it takes 70-90 days to flower.
Dont forget to save some of your best & biggest mature flowers for the seeds. Leave them on the plant until they dry and then save in a dry/cool space for next year.
